What to do if your course is missing
If your course is missing on your Canvas Dashboard, there are several things you'll want to check.
Make sure you are registered in the course
A course will not show up on your Canvas Dashboard unless you are registered in the course. To double check registration, you will need to check your registration status in Self-Service.

On this page will list all of the classes that you are currently registered for. If a course is missing, you may need to contact Admissions and Records to discuss your registration status. Their information can be found on the Student Resources page.
Double check the start date of the course
All 18-week long courses at FCC should be published the first day of class. However, you may be registered for a 9-week course that does not start until later on in the semester. We will check for this again on your Class Schedule on Self-Service.

The date range for each course will be listed beneath your course. Double check your course start date as some classes do start later than 8/7.

Check your student e-mail or Contact the instructor
Does your class start this week? Course still not appearing?
Your instructor may have sent out an e-mail to the class explaining the status of the Canvas course. You will want to check your student e-mail address for any information (E-mail can be accessed through the FCC Portal Links to an external site.). If you have not heard from your instructor, and the class is still not appearing, you may also e-mail your instructor to request more information. To find your instructor's e-mail address we can use the same course schedule page that we used in the previous step.

The date range for each course will be listed beneath your course. When you click on the class name, a dialog box will appear listing the instructor's full name, and their e-mail address.
From your student e-mail, you can use this e-mail address to contact your instructor to request more information on when Canvas is going to be published for the course.
