Taking a Quiz

You can take a quiz through your student app but know that some features and quiz settings are not supported in the mobile app. If your quiz includes features or question types that are not supported, you will be asked to log into Canvas, and you will be redirected to the browser view.

Accessing and Starting a Quiz

1. 1. Choose either the "Modules" or "Quizzes" tab in the course menu.
  2. Locate and select a quiz.
  3. Click the "Take Quiz" button to begin the quiz.

Your instructor may have enabled a feature called "New Quiz" in your course. If this is so, "New Quiz" quizzes cannot be taken on the Student App. To take a "New Quiz," click on "Launch External Tool" to open the quiz in your mobile browser.

Some features within the Student App vary by version and device. This demo has been done on an iPad (iOS) tablet. Check the Canvas Mobile Guides below for device-specific instructions.
