About the Dashboard

Opening the app takes you to your Dashboard. From the app Dashboard, you can quickly access your courses by clicking on the course tile.

Accessing the Canvas App

1. 1. Find the Canvas Student App on your device and tap to open.
  2. You will see your courses, groups, and navigation options at the bottom.
  3. To open a course, click on the course tile.

Dashboard Links

The links at the bottom of your Dashboard screen take you to your Calendar, To-Do List, Notifications, and your Canvas Messages.

Calendar: Displays all events and course assignments.

To-Do List: Shows a list of upcoming assignments.

Notifications: Shows notifications from each course.

Inbox: Allows you to easily communicate with your instructor and classmates.

Some features within the Student App vary by version and device. This demo has been done on an iPad (iOS) tablet. Check the Canvas Mobile Guides below for device-specific instructions.
