Submission Comments

Some instructors may leave written, audio, or video comments on your assignment, quiz, or discussions. If you have received any comments, you will see a comment icon to the right of your assignment.

 

Viewing Comment from Grades

      1. Click on the "Grades" link the course navigation.
      2. Then, click on the comment icon to reveal the assignment comment(s). 

 

Viewing Comments from the Assignment and Submission Details Pages

Another way to view comments is from an assignment or Submission Details page.

      1. Click on the assignment name from any area of your course. 
      2. Written comments can be viewed from the Assignment Details page.
      3. Click on "Submission Details" to view written and media comments.

 

 

Replying to Instructor's Comments

After you've read your instructor's comments, you can also add a reply to your instructor. The Canvas Short below shows you How to add a comment [02:41].

 

00:07: How do I add a comment to a submission as a student? 00:11: In course, navigation, click the grades link. 00:15: Click the assignment title link. 00:18: In a submission Details page, you can add comments to your assignment submission 00:22: in the Attic comment area. Used emojis, click the Emoji from the recently used menu. 01:11: To attach a file. As a comment, click the attached file icon, select 01:16: a file using your browser's file, selection process. 01:20: View the name of your file to save the file as a comment. 01:23: Click the send comment button. 01:26: Honest admission. Click the record tab. 01:34: The media recorder connects to your computer's, default, microphone and webcam. 01:39: To change your microphone settings, click the mic button, then select from 01:43: the displayed options. 01:45: To change your webcam settings, click the webcam button to disable video, 01:49: recording, Celexa no video option. 01:53: Click the start recording button. A countdown begins. 01:57: The media recorder displays the length of your current recording. 02:01: Can we start your recording? Click the start over button? To 02:05: finish your recording, click the Finish button. 02:09: The preview of your recorded media, click the play button. 02:12: The title, your media enter a title in the file name field. 02:17: To save your recorded, comment, click the save media button. 02:22: Your recorded media comment displays on the submission Details page. 02:26: To view the recorded media, click the play button. 02:30: This guy covered how to add a comment to a submission as a student.
