Step 3: Does the PDF have multimedia?-2
If there are videos or any other multimedia, consider hosting content in an HTML page or Canvas page. This will allow anyone to view your content without requiring additional steps to access your PDF content.
Users will need to download the Flash Player Links to an external site.to view videos. Note that your audience may not have the capability to download the necessary plug-ins. For example, users that rely on public library computers may have limited administrative rights to download specific programs. Also, like Apple computers, iOS devices do not support Flash by default. It will take additional steps to view your multimedia content.
Help your audience focus on your content, rather than on trying to access your content by using a different delivery method or a combination of different modalities to convey content.
Is your multimedia accessible?
Make sure your videos have closed captions and that your audio sound clips have a transcript! For more information, visit More Free Accessibility Courses to learn about our self-paced Video Captioning Course.
