Hello and Welcome,

Hello everyone and welcome! Let me start of by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Mr. Edward Kraus or Coach Ed and I am a 7-year Navy veteran. I have a B.A. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education and a M.A. in Kinesiology-Sport Psychology. I have been an instructor in the Kinesiology department at Fresno State from January, 2011-May, 2015 and an instructor at FCC in the Allied Health, PE & Athletics department since January, 2015. I own a fitness and life coach business, coach swimming, and I am a mental mindset coach for Clovis East softball. I am very excited to take this journey with as you learn about HEALTH! I ask one thing from all of you...Believe in yourself! I am here to guide through this journey and PLEASE do not hesitate to ask for my help!

Course Expectations

This is a 3-unit online course starting on Monday, March 14^th at 12:00 am and ending on Friday, May 13^thending at 11:59 pm. It is expected students will spend approximately 2 hours of study time outside of class for every one hour in class. Because this is a 3-unit class which includes 3 hours of lecture (reading and coursework on your own) per week, you should expect to study and work on assignments an average of 6 hours each week.

Students will be held to college level academic standards. Students are required to participate in all class sessions, study, interact, read, and write. Reading and writing components may include a combination of reading assignments, written summaries/analysis, projects, quizzes, tests, exams, analysing videos, or discussion boards. Student participation in this class is an integral part of the learning process to achieve success.
