After completing Chapter 11, students will be able to accomplish the following:

2) Describe the Addictive Process.

3) Behavioral versus Drug Addiction.

4) Identify the Difference between Drug Abuse and Misuse.

5) Identify the Types of Drugs.

6) Identify Factors that Influence a Drug’s Effect.

7) Identify Poly Drug Use.

8) Identify the Classification of Drugs.

9) Identify the Treatments for Drug Addictions and Behavioral Addictions.

After completing Chapter 12, students will be able to accomplish the following:

1) Identify Tobacco and It’s Use.

2) Identify the Short and Long Terms Effects of Tobacco.

3) Identify the Types of Tobacco Use Interventions.

4) Identify the Risk of Environmental Tobacco Smoke.

5) Identify Alcohol and It’s Use.

6) Identify the Short and Long Term Effects of Alcohol Use.

7) Identify Treatment Program for Alcoholism.

Resources available to students for accomplishing the above mentioned learning outcomes include: reading Chapters 11 and 12, reviewing power points, reviewing section 5 module videos.

Section 5 will begin on March 22nd thru April 8th. The final assessment, Exam #5 will be due April 8th.
