Google Chrome Translate

The Google Chrome Translate feature is a handy tool built into the Google Chrome web browser. It helps translate web pages written in languages you may not understand. The translation is powered by Google Translate, which uses machine learning to translate text. While it's quite useful, it might not always be perfect and can sometimes misinterpret content or expressions.

How it Works

There are two primary ways to use Google Translate in Chrome. First, you can simply right-click anywhere on the webpage and select Translate to [Language].

Second, you can customize the translation settings by clicking the three-dot more menu on the Chrome browser, and then selecting Translate. A mini-pop-up will appear where you can select the three-dot more menu to set a preferred language. Once set, you can click on the language to translate the webpage.

Google Translate Chrome Extension

Google also provides a browser add-on that allows you to easily translate web pages and text directly within your browser, whether it's Chrome, Firefox, or another supported browser. Once installed, an icon will be added to your browser toolbar for quick access to translation features and settings. If Chrome is your primary browser, installing the extension is not necessary, since the Translate feature is now part of the Chrome browser.

Microsoft Translate

The Translate feature is currently available for Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, and PowerPoint. In any of the applications, go to the Review tab and select Translate.
