Observation Opportunity! DHHSC Support Group Mtg - HOH "What Did You Say?"

No vaccination is required - Take advantage of the opportunity to observe or interview an interpreter (request their contact information and schedule to meet with them or to send them a questionnaire by email - see me for the questionnaire you are to use)!

This is a monthly support group meeting at DHHSC called "What Did You Say?"

See the attachment for details (note the date has been updated for this particular month due to the facilitator returning from vacation-so apologies for the short notice-if necessary, you'll have another chance next month!)

If you attend, be sure to:

1.  Submit proof that you attended - email instructor the selfie picture or ask Susan to email me stating that you attended.  She will have a sign in sheet.

2.  Write about 1) your experience and 2) what you learned about 3) the interpreter(s) and how he/she/they worked, 4) the people (participants/attendees/facilitators/panel guests, presenter(s), etc.), 5) the topic(s) they discuss(ed), the issues that exist within the hard of hearing culture (you can write/type as much as a page or as little as a paragraph is fine) and 6) submit it by email as part of your homework for the extra credit you will receive for attending this event.  

You will also get a separate grade for doing the interpreter observation (or questionnaire).  Only one observation or one questionnaire is required.  If you do both (an observation and a questionnaire) or more observation(s) and questionnaire(s), you get even more extra credit!
