REQUIRED Vaccinations

Required Interpreter Vaccinations:

There are a limited number of designated interpreters so far who have limited availability to have you observe during their appointments (depending on the type of the appointment and whether or not permission is granted by Deaf and hearing consumers).  I have been informed that you all would need to adhere to the standards interpreters follow (per liability policy of DHHSC and "vendors" - the places interpreters go-hospitals, educational settings, businesses of various types, etc.).

Please complete the following ASAP (contact FCC campus health services):

1. TB shot

2. Hep B shot

3. Flu shot

The interpreters have to keep it all current so often that means every year for various vaccinations due to the almost unpredictable environments we are required to visit (hospitals, peoples homes, jails, and many other public/business and private places, etc.)

Upon completion of the health requirements, submit proof of your immunization documentation to your instructor.  Then, I will be able to have you sign the confidentiality form for DHHSC to have on file in their office before you go on any appointment.

The class will need to sign a confidentiality sheet before going on DHHSC appointments with designated interpreters.

Complete this before the end of August.
