Preserving Accessibility Tags 

 

MS Word allows you to preserve the accessibility information as markup tags in the code of the document. If the following tutorial looks a bit different from the Word Version you have, visit Microsoft's Save or Convert PDF Links to an external site. to find specific version support. 

Step 1

Use the Acrobat plug-in. Select the Acrobat tab.

Select Acrobat Tab to open Preferences Option

Step 2

To ensure that the PDF will retain the accessibility tags you've applied to the document, select Preferences.

Ensure the checkbox, Enable Accessibility and Reflow with Tagged Adobe PDF, is checked.

Step 4

Select OK. Finally, select Create PDF. Proceed to save as a PDF.
