How Will We Be Contacting?

I value an interactive and personal learning environment and I intend to harness the technological tools available to us to communicate with you in a variety of ways.

I want to make sure you know that you're not alone in the course. I care about you, I care about the challenges you face, and I care about supporting your learning. Here are some of the ways I'll connect with you throughout the semester:

School E-Mail and Inbox

To send email to xuanzhu.song@scccd.edu or leave a message at Inbox which is at the left panel of the course home page is the preferred way to contact me. I will answer non-course related emails within 24 hours during workdays 8:00 am and 8:00 pm from Monday to Friday (excluding weekends and national holidays) via the above school email. Students are expected to regularly access their school email accounts.

Weekly Office hours

I set aside 3 hours each workday to be available to you if you need me. I will reply to your questions by email from 5 pm to 8 pm, Monday to Friday.

Emergency individualized meetings

Please schedule a meeting online by emailing xuanzhu.song@scccd.edu. I will reply within 24 hours during workdays 8:00 am and 8:00 pm from Monday to Friday (excluding weekends and national holidays).

Gradebook Feedback

Not only will you find your grades and rubric scores in your grade book, but also you can find that I will use the comments feature to ask questions and spark further conversations about your ideas and contributions.
