Whether you are taking my DS 21 or DS 23 class, the layout of the course is the same. Under modules you will find the classroom activities.

The first module is what you must do to get started in the course. Please complete each item in the module to unlock all other modules. If you are in my online course at the bottom there will be an assignment to complete. If you are in my face to face course the module will end with remedial help with assignments.

There will be one module for each week of this semester. I will indicate in the heading when you should start each classroom activity and when it is due.

The module will have a learning unit which is an overview of what you will learn in the unit and the sections you will read in the textbook and the concepts you will learn during the week.

A list of lecture notes with example problems and videos to view to learn to compute the solutions for the homework problems.

Instructions for the weekly discussion problems. This section will only be for online courses.

The weekly homework assignment, when it opens and when it is due. You can work on it after the due date, but there will be a 20% deduction of each problem you answer after the due date.

The sample examination problems that you will need to know for the upcoming examination. You can do the problems as you learn the concepts and take the sample exam as many times as you want. The score on the sample exam will not be included in your grade in Canvas.

Each week you can complete an advanced topic discussion post in this course. It is not required but is extra credit assignment.

If an assessment will take place in any week it will be placed after the sample examination.
